Targeting the Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Signaling Pathway in Breast Cancer Development

چکیده
Activation of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) through environmental exposure to known human carcinogens including dioxins can lead promotion breast cancer. While repressor protein AhR (AhRR) blocks canonical pathway, function AhRR in development cancer is not well-known. In current study we examined impact suppressing activity using its dedicated AhRR. a putative tumor suppressor and silenced several types, breast, where loss correlates with shorter patient survival. Using transgenic mouse, demonstrate that overexpression opposes AhR-driven inflammation-induced growth mammary tumors two different murine models These include syngeneic model E0771 cells as well Polyoma Middle T antigen (PyMT) model. Further or knockout enhanced apoptosis induced by chemotherapeutics inhibited mouse cells. This provides first vivo evidence suppresses suggests strategies which functional restoration expression may have therapeutic benefit.

The Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor: A Target for Breast Cancer Therapy
The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) is a ligand-activated transcription factor that regulates a battery of genes in response to exposure to a broad class of environmental poly aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH). AhR is historically characterized for its role in mediating the toxicity and adaptive responses to these chemicals, however mounting evidence has established a role for it in ligand-independen...
متن کاملThe Role of miRNA Dysregulation in Thyroid Cancer Development by Targeting the Main Signaling Pathways
Thyroid cancer is one of the most common malignancies of endocrine glands, causing carcinomas, such as papillary, follicular, medullary, and anaplastic thyroid carcinomas. Due to the significance of thyroid carcinomas, identification of the main signaling pathways and the affecting mutations has been considered by researchers. Further studies on the dysregulation of oncogenes in signaling path...

Over the last few decades, there have been numerous reports of adverse effects on the reproductive health of wildlife and laboratory animals caused by exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). The increasing trends in human male reproductive disorders and the mounting evidence for causative environmental factors have therefore sparked growing interest in the health threat posed to huma...
